I like LinkedIn. It's probably the greatest thing to happen to portrait photographers since auto focus. But I really like clients who ask me for portraits that go beyond the standard white-background, 8x10 head-and-shoulders shot. The client might be a fashion blogger doing a Cinderella-style shoe post, a band that needs a CD cover shot, a former pro basketball star with a new memoir that needs a jacket photo, a cosplayer who does a Star Wars character, a blogger who wants to express her fear and insecurity, or a woman who wants to channel her inner Marlene Dietrich. I love helping.
